Seen as Europe's premier inshore fishing exhibition, The Irish Skipper Expo (Now rebranded as The Skipper Expo International "Galway") lived up to all its expectations and was regarded as the most successful show to date. Over the two days, in excess of 5,000 fishermen and their families visited the show in the Galway Bay hotel.

The Skipper Expo International "Galway" has become a vitally important event for the inshore sector, as well as fishermen from Ireland, the show also attracted fishermen from Sweden, Scotland, the Shetlands, Orkney, Cornwall, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man to Salthill in Galway.

107 exhibitors displayed and sold a whole range of products over the weekend and initial feedback from several of the exhibitors suggests that sales and orders were outstanding over the two days.The Skipper Expo International "Galway" team have already begun work on the 2012 show and a high percentage of the exhibitors have re-booked their stands for next year's event.
